Scarlet Entanglement

A photo set that is connected by design. Exploring the realm of mixed media, and textile artworks through the photographic medium.

Unlike my previous work, though, I wanted this experiment to at least have a hint of playfulness as well. The yarn is a connection, physically as well as mentally intertwining the differentiating versions of myself I hold.

How do they interact? What kind of relationship do they have with one another? I wanted to be able to have such questions partially unanswered for the audience to digest in any way that they will, perhaps even reflecting on their own inner workings- an exercise in open-ended interpretation.
